Welcome!

Hi! I’m Gail Hebert, sole proprietor of the thrift shop at 9003 35th Avenue SW, across from the Southwest Branch of the Library.

I‘m a West Seattle native who was introduced to thrift stores and “collecting” in the early 70’s while living a Bohemian lifestyle on Capitol Hill.  In 1977, I moved to New York to pursue my acting career.  I lived through the turbulent disco era and came back to Seattle in 1985, where I starred in the hit show, “A…My Name is Alice,” which ran for a year.  In 1990, I had an opportunity to live in Portland, Oregon.  I stayed for 14 years, winning an award for Best Actress in a Musical playing the Reverend Mother in “Nunsense.”  I returned to Seattle 6 years ago.

I’ve always wanted my own shop.  An extension of my home, Hebert’s Den combines my penchant for collecting with my love of needlework.  An added bonus is the venue it provides for showcasing my friends’ performing skills.
Come in and peruse the variety of items I’ve collected.  More a thrift shop than a gift shop, there’s vintage clothes, serving platters, vases, candlesticks, Ravensburger puzzles, furniture, hand-made felt pillows, antique cups made into pin cushions, jewelry, make-up bags, Camp Snoopy glasses, and so on.
